Saint Etienne have released Pond House as the lead single from their forthcoming album ‘I’ve Been Trying To Tell You’.
The track, which samples Natalie Imbruglia’s Beauty on the Fire from her 2001 LP ‘White Lilies Island’, is largely instrumental with looped vocals.
It’s one of eight tracks from the group’s 10th album, due September 10, and their first new music since 2017’s ‘Home Counties’.
Alongside teasers for the new music, Saint Etienne have released a number of images and short clips by frequent collaborator Alasdair McLellan.
A full announcement is expected later today.
The group’s last album was an epic 19 tracks and scored them their seventh UK Top 40 collection.
