Hannah Spearritt is releasing her first memoir this autumn.
The S Club star will tell her story in ‘Facing The Music’ – her debut publication, due October 5 on Renegade Books.
It’s set to document the Don’t Stop Movin’ hitmaker’s life and career, from finding success as a teenager in the band to her transition into acting.
“I’m thrilled to be working with Renegade Books to tell my life story for the very first time [and] get the opportunity to discuss getting to grips with the fickle, often cut-throat nature of the media and entertainment industry,” says Hannah.
“There will be stories that will shock people as I lift the lid on the pressures of growing up in the public eye, being in S Club 7, battling chronic illness, having kids, love, loss and other personal struggles I’ve overcome.”
She adds: “I’m looking forward to releasing this book with such a great team behind it and can’t wait for you all to read it. I have certainly enjoyed the cathartic process of ‘bringing it all back’.”
Hannah was just 17 when she joined S Club 7 and – alongside Tina Barrett, Paul Cattermole, Jon Lee, Bradley McIntosh, Jo O’Meara and Rachel Stevens – earned four chart-topping UK singles from four studio albums, before the band split in 2003.
They reunited in 2014 and in 2015 embarked on their ‘Bring It All Back Tour’, with the performer also flexing her acting chops in shows such as Primeval, Death In Paradise and Casualty over the years.
In February, it was announced that S Club 7 would return to the stage once more to mark their 25th anniversary, however following Paul’s death in April, Hannah – who dated her bandmate in the 2000s – decided not to take part.
