Boyzone look set to reunite in 2026 – seven years after wrapping their ‘Thank You & Goodnight’ farewell tour.
The group, which formed in 1993 and scored such hits as Love Me For A Reason, No Matter What and Words, had previously ruled out future musical projects, but the reaction to the four-part Sky documentary, ‘Boyzone: No Matter What’, has made them reconsider.
Frontman Ronan Keating – who appeared in the original line-up alongside Keith Duffy, Mikey Graham, Shane Lynch and Stephen Gately, who died in 2009 at the age of 33 – told the Scott Mills Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2, “The reaction was unbelievable.
“We’ve obviously been talking about our story for the last 30 years, and we felt like that was kind of it, that maybe that was the end of the story.
“And well, we’ve all been chatting over the last few weeks, and I think 2026 might be a year for Boyzone to maybe try and do something.”
The group later took to Instagram to share a picture of themselves with the words “the journey continues”, prompting fans to sign up to a mailing list.
