Rogue Traders have recruited Dannii Minogue for their new single ‘Dirty Dirty Disco’.
Marking the first collaboration between the Aussie dance-rock outfit and Queen of the Clubs, the pulsating track pairs Minogue and Rogue Traders’ Natalie Bassingthwaighte‘s sultry vocals over high-energy, disco-friendly beats.
“‘Dirty Dirty Disco’ is about that feeling when the lights go down, the music comes on and nothing else matters,” says Rogue Traders’ James Ash. “We wanted to make a song that feels fun, unapologetic and impossible not to dance to — and having Dannii join Natalie on the track made it even more special.”
Announcing it’s “time to disco again”, Minogue adds: “This track was an absolute joy to create with James and Natalie from Rogue Traders. It has a throbbing beat, glamorous swag, and a bounce in the groove that makes me want to dance.”
The energy is captured in the song’s video, which leans heavily into the disco aesthetic and was, according to Bassingthwaighte, an “absolute blast” to record.
“Teaming up with Dannii was incredible — she’s an absolute superstar and we had so much fun working on this together,” she shares. “For me, it has everything you want from a great dance record — pure disco, a killer beat and the energy that brings that instant feel-good factor.
“We had an absolute blast making the video; the outfits, the glamour, the lights, the movement — it captures everything we love about the song.”
