Swedish pop superstar Robyn had fans in a frenzy as she appeared to reveal her next musical era is on its way this week!
The Dancing On My Own hitmaker took to Twitter to share a clip of new music, with a graphic not too dissimilar to the old school Windows Media Player visuals, confirming new music was coming Wednesday, August 5th.
In the caption of the electronic tune, she simply wrote, “5/8,” alongside a jigsaw piece emoji.
According to rumours online, the new track is titled Impact, with the teaser featuring a male vocal singing the line, “I felt your impact / Eyes closed while I ride the wave.”

The tune is reportedly a collaboration with British singer-songwriter and producer SG Lewis, who most recently worked with Dua Lipa on the track Hallucinate from her album Future Nostalgia.
Robyn kicked off her career back in 1995 with the album Robyn Is Here, and released follow-ups My Truth and Don’t Stop the music in 1999 and 2002, respectively.
She went on to achieve mainstream success in 2008 with the global release of self-titled fourth album, originally released in 2005, containing the hits Be Mine!, Who’s That Girl, and With Every Heartbeat.
The new project comes hot on the heels of 2018’s Honey – which arrived following an eight-year hiatus, after the three-part Body Talk project in 2010.
