Robbie Williams has released his latest single Sway via dance group Lufthaus.
Alongside long-time producers Tim Metcalfe and Flynn Francis, the singer hit the studio to record the upbeat tune, which dropped this week.
While the band has not revealed its members, Robbie’s voice stands out on the track, which was released on digital platforms.
They said: “This project has been keeping us busy in the studio throughout the pandemic, so we’re delighted to now be releasing the first single.
“We’ve purposely kept Lufthaus unrevealed, so we’re looking forward to releasing more music and revealing more material over the coming months,” added Lufthaus (via The Sun).
Robbie went on to tease that he’s got plenty of other new music ready to go, confessing he’s “constantly writing new songs”.
“There is stuff that’s on my computer now that I wrote two years ago that probably won’t see the light of day for another two years,” he added.
Robbie isn’t just focusing on music, with a biopic helmed by ‘The Greatest Showman’ filmmaker Michael Gracey also in the works.
According to Gracey, he’s spent several hours speaking to Robbie to get a feel for the project, which is tentatively titled ‘Better Man’.
“As for how we represent Robbie in the film, that bit is top secret. I want to do this in a really original way,” he said.
“I remember going to the cinema as a kid and there were films that blew me away and made me say as I sat there in the cinema, ‘I’ve never seen this before’. I just want the audience to have that feeling.’
Gracey adds: “All I can say is the approach is top secret, but the goal is to generate that feeling I just described.
“It’s this fantastical story, and I want to represent it in its harsh reality all the way to these moments of pure fantasy.
“Unlike some people who were born prodigies or musical geniuses and you follow the narrative of the world catching up to their brilliance, this isn’t that story.”
