Robbie Williams and Kylie Minogue are working together on new music for the first time in 21 years.
The pair previously teamed up on 2000’s Kids – taken from Kylie’s seventh LP, Light Years – with the Take That star also co-writing fan favourite, Your Disco Needs You.
Speaking to Daily Star Online, Robbie teased “big plans” for the collaboration, sharing: “I have a song with Miss Kylie Minogue, I have big plans for it if she is up for it. I have big plans.”
“Kylie and Robbie have recorded a new song together,” an insider confirmed.
“It’s their first collab since Kids in 2000 and Robbie is keen to make it a single.
“Due to Covid there are no concrete plans for the release.
“It won’t be a mini drop like Kylie recently did with her Studio 2054 remix of Real Groove with Dua Lipa.”
Robbie previously revealed his new record is a “dance album,” adding he’s unsure of a release date for the project.
While Kids was the pair’s last one-on-one collaboration, Robbie and Kylie worked together virtually on the 2020 Children in Need charity cover of Oasis hit, Stop Crying Your Heart Out.
Robbie released his last non-festive studio album, The Heavy Entertainment Show, back in 2016.
The new music follows a busy year for Kylie, who topped the UK charts with her record-breaking 15th LP, DISCO.
In our review of the album, Retro Pop said DISCO is “packed with upbeat, care-free ’70s inspired dance music – and, frankly, that’s just what we needed right now”.
