Rick Astley is joined by an ensemble snowmen, sleigh bells and Santa Claus himself for his latest music video.
The Never Gonna Give You Up hitmaker debuted his holiday hit Love This Christmas on Zoe Ball’s BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show and, alongside the release, he’s dropped a suitably festive visual.
Rick, who appears flanked by backing dancers in red, fur-trimmed attire, says: “I really enjoyed making the video, it’s just a bit of fun after a tough 2020. Merry Christmas!”
To accompany the single, Rick has also signed a number of limited edition Christmas cards, with all proceeds going to the Shooting Stars Children’s Hospices. A range of special #Rickmas merch is also available.
The release comes after Rick dropped the charity single Every One Of Us alongside The Unsung Heroes to celebrate the Unsung Hero Awards 2020. The track continues to raise money for the BBC’s Children In Need.
He’ll return to the stage in 2021 for his sold-out Greatest Hits arena tour, which was postponed amid the pandemic, and will feature two free shows for NHS staff and frontline workers at Manchester’s AO Arena and The SSE Arena, Wembley – both of which sold-out within 30 minutes.
The jaunt ends with three major shows in the capital, with the London Palladium and the Royal Albert Hall also scheduled.
