RAYE has teased details of her forthcoming second studio album.
The singer-songwriter is hard at work on the follow-up to last year’s ‘My 21st Century Blues’, featuring hits such as Escapism, Ice Cream Man and Flip A Switch.
Speaking during her performance at Coachella over the weekend (April 13-14), she teased the new record with festivalgoers at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, revealing: “This next piece of music I’m going to put out, I’m so proud of it and I just need you to know.
“I can’t wait for you to hear it, it’s not what you expected.”
The hitmaker – who recently co-wrote the song Riiverdance on Beyoncé’s chart-topping ‘Cowboy Carter’ – made history earlier this year when she became the most-nominated in a single year in BRITs history.
At the ceremony, she took home six prizes including Artist, Album and Song of the Year, but after being snubbed at the Grammy Awards she insisted she’s “barely scratched the surface of what I know musically I can give”.
RAYE wrote on X: “just a message to say thank you for all the lovely messages but just to let you know I am not upset at all, I am hungry and grateful
“the Grammys are awarded for the best music has to offer and I have barely scratched the surface of what I know musically I can give. [sic]”
