Rachel Stevens was “nervous” to perform her solo hits live after more than a decade.
The star took the stage at Proud Embankment, London as part of her Cabaret All Stars show in December and sent the audience into a frenzy by performing selections from her solo albums, Funky Dory and Come and Get It.
In footage shared online, the S Club star sings Sweet Dreams My LA Ex and Some Girls, along with a cover of the classic Fever.
It is the first time in more than a decade she has sung her solo tunes and, speaking to The Sun, she admits that, despite her chart success, she “always gets nervous” before performances.
Rachel says: “I always get nervous. But I’m excited. It feels like I’ve not performed my own solo stuff for a long time. So that’s really exciting and a bit of festivity.
“I think we all need a bit of Christmas in our lives.”
Rachel’s performance comes after she previously teased she could return to the studio for one more album.
“I haven’t recorded for ages, but it comes up now and again, I talk about it and think about it,” she mused. “There’s potential might want to do some more shows, or music of some kind, I just don’t know what way yet.”
