Rachel Stevens could be set to return as a solo artist – 20 years after last releasing music.
The S Club star found success outside of the group with her 2003 debut single Sweet Dreams My LA Ex and went on to release two albums: ‘Funky Dory’ (2003) and ‘Come And Get It’ (2005).
Other hits included Some Girls, More More More, So Good and I Said Never Again (But Here We Are), and after hitting the stage at London’s Mighty Hoopla festival for a show earlier this month, she’s open to more solo work.
“I just did a festival, Hoopla, a couple of weeks ago,” she said during an appearance on ‘The One Show’ while promoting her new memoir, ‘Finding My Voice’. “It was the first time I’ve been back on stage doing my own stuff.
“It just felt amazing, and I had such a brilliant reception. It was incredible. I love performing so much, so it’s given me that buzz again to get back up there potentially.
“Who knows? Things are changing all the time.”
It’s not just Rachel who’s keen to get back out there, with S Club – also starring Tina Barrett, Jon Lee, Bradley McIntosh and Jo O’Meara – also “looking to carry on” following last year’s reunion tour.
She said: “We are potentially working on new music.”
