The Pussycat Dolls have cancelled all but one of the North American dates on their 20th anniversary ‘PCD Forever Tour’.
Amid reports of weak ticket sales, the group confirmed 32 dates of their planned 53-show comeback tour have been scrapped, just weeks after announcing the concerts back in March.
In a post on Instagram, they shared: “When we announced the ‘PCD Forever Tour’, we hoped to bring the show to fans across the world. After taking an honest look at the North American run, we’ve made the difficult and heartbreaking decision to cancel all but one of the North America dates.”
On the one remaining US show – at Outloud Festival as part of WeHo Pride near Los Angeles on June 6 – the ‘Don’t ‘Cha’ hitmakers added: “We could not think of a more meaningful place to celebrate with our fans.
“The LGBTQ+ community has shown us so much love and support throughout our career, and we’re honoured to be part of a weekend rooted in joy, pride, music and chosen family.”
Despite the North American cancellations, UK and European dates are going ahead as planned, with the group – starring Nicole Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts and Kimberly Wyatt – noting that “several shows have already sold out”.
Tickets for the UK and European ‘PCD Forever’ shows, with special guest Lil’ Kim, are on sale now and are available here. The full list of ‘PCD Forever’ UK shows is below.
