Pulp have scored their first No. 1 album on the UK Albums Chart in 27 years with ‘More’.
The eighth studio album from the rockers becomes their first chart-topper since 1998’s ‘This Is Hardcore’ and is their sixth Top 40 LP overall.
Other entries include 1994’s ‘His ‘N’ Hers’ (No. 9), 1995’s ‘Different Class’ (No. 1), 1996’s ‘Countdown: 1992-1983’ (No. 10) and 2001’s We Love Life (No. 6)
Additionally, ‘More’ has also topped the Vinyl Albums Chart.
‘More’ was recorded at London’s Orbb Studio over three weeks in November 2024 with producer James Ford, and contributions from Richard Hawley, the Eno family and others.
“This is the shortest amount of time a Pulp album has ever taken to record,” said frontman Jarvis Cocker in a statement. “It was obviously ready to happen.”
