Propaganda stars Claudia Brücken and Susanne Freytag have teamed up with the band’s former producer Steve Lipson for a new album.
The record, ‘The Heart is Strange’, is due via the group’s old label ZTT on May 20, after which they’ll hit the stage at The Garage, London for a celebratory gig.
Taking place on May 24, the concert will see Claudia, Susanne and Stephen perform ‘The Heart is Strange’ in full, along with Propaganda classics from their back catalogue.
The single Don’t (You Mess With Me) is out now.
Propaganda formed in Dusseldorf in 1982 by industrial musician Ralf Dorper and released their acclaimed debut album ‘A Secret Wish’ in 1985.
Despite hit singles, the group became embroiled in legal battles and they split in 1990.
While Propaganda stars Brücken, Freytag, Dorper and Michael Mertens have reunited occasionally in the past, the new line-up appears to be a long-standing set-up.
Brücken and Freytag came together after the pair performed two sold-out shows at The Grarage as xPropaganda in 2018, before later hitting the studio to record new music.
‘The Heart is Strange’ is available to pre-order on standard and deluxe CD, and vinyl.
