Pixie Lott invited her ‘The Voice Kids’ team member Israella Chris perform at her wedding to husband Oliver Cheshire.
The All About Tonight singer coached the youngster to victory on the sixth series of the ITV talent contest and, in an interview on ‘Good Morning Britain’, she revealed Israella sang during their big day.
Recalling the romantic ceremony, which took place at Ely Cathedral in June, she said: “The wedding was, I had been waiting for so long we had to move the date as a lot of people did because of Covid.
“But we had been together for so long, I’d been looking forward to it my whole life. I don’t think anyone actually prepares you for walking down the aisle with your dad and the whole moment, all the people you love there and Israella singing, I got so emotional.”
Of the 14 year old’s involvement, she continued: “It was so amazing she looked stunning, she was a Disney princess.”
Israella beat competition from will.i.am’s contestant Tawana McGrath, Ronan Keating’s Sebastian and Todd Dachtler, who was mentored by McFly star Danny Jones, during the grand final on Wednesday, December 28.
It comes after Pixie recently revealed plans to release her first new album in eight years, with the new record apparently introducing a brand new sound for the singer.
“I am really excited to put out some new music next year. It’s an album,” she told The Sun’s Bizarre column. “Dates always change but it’s definitely next year.
“It’s going to be singles first and then an album at the end of the spring or early summer.”
Revealing she’s moving away from “dance pop” in favour of a “live music vibe,” the singer added: “It has more of a live music vibe and it is not as dance pop as before. I have been so excited to make this album and it’s taken me four years.
“It is a live-sounding album. I am so excited to be able to sing the songs live.”
And Pixie revealed she’s been testing out her new material on her ‘The Voice Kids’ co-star Danny, adding: “I was actually playing them backstage and in the chair, asking Danny what he thought in between acts.”
