Peter Wilson revisits remixes from the past decade and beyond on his brand new double-disc retrospective.
Featuring 23 hand-selected tracks, ‘Time Machine’ is packed with singles ranging from 2010 release Stereo through to his most-recent release, Lullaby, and backed by a heavy-hitting line-up of producers who have reworked the tracks for a series of alternate and rare mixes.
PWL legend Pete Hammond is a prominent feature, offering an epic seven-minute version of the Sean Smith duet One & One, a beefed-up take on the Stock and Waterman penned Never Knew Love Like This Before, and his 2022 co-write Point Of No Return.
Also included is Matt Pop, who revisits another Sean Smith collaboration, Verona, and produces lead single, Better Than Heaven with Felice Arena – one of three new songs on the set, along with Take The Money And Run and Tonight Tonight.
Leaning into Italo-disco territory, Italoconnection rework recent tunes like Take My Heart and Come Here Baby, while contributions from Dave Ford, Ian Curnow and Almighty make for a varied journey through his catalogue.
With so many remixes to choose from, ‘Time Machine’ offers an insight into Peter’s personal tastes when it comes to his music, with the original material a neat addition to an already strong release.
And with a pair of EPs due later this year, the Aussie star shows no sign of slowing down anytime soon…
Time Machine is out May 29 via Energise Records and available to order now.
