Peter Hook And The Light will embark on a massive world tour throughout 2024.

The band will perform the ‘Substance’ albums by Joy Division and New Order in full at the gigs, which launch at the Opera House in Wellington, New Zealand on May 16.

After heading to Australia, they’ll tour North America throughout August and September before hitting the UK and Ireland in October and November. The tour concludes in Galway, Ireland on November 16.

Announcing the tour on Instagram, they penned: “We are delighted to announce the return of our ‘Substance’ live show to North America, the UK Ireland from August to November of 2024.

“We will perform both Joy Division New Order ‘Substance’ LPs live and in their entirety at each show, alongside selected extra ‘Substance’ era tracks.”

Hook added: “It still amazes me how enjoyable it is to play the ‘Substance’ LPs. The contrast between Joy Division and New Order is very apparent but both complement each other very well. My only frustration is not being able to play more of our records each night.

“I am totally looking forward to the next phase. So, let’s enjoy some Substance and get ready for the future. Lots of love, Hooky.”

‘Substance’ first arrived as a collection of New Order’s singles in 1987, before a Joy Division singles LP of the same name arrived the following year.
