Peter Capaldi has thanked The Blow Monkeys star Dr. Robert for helping him piece together his debut album.
The former ‘Doctor Who’ star will unveil ‘St. Christopher’, his debut studio LP, on Friday, November 19 – and he’s opened up on the creation of the album alongside his pop star pal.
Speaking to the Daily Star’s Wired column, he revealed: “My friend Dr Robert from The Blow Monkeys is a terrific musician and every year, he hosts a happening where musicians come together.
“He knew I played guitar and leaned on me to come along. I scribbled out a song and they turned it into proper music within a day.
“I loved that, so I had a go at writing more.”
Pete found himself juggling work when it came to shooting ‘The Suicide Squad’, but he managed to balance things out.
“I’d send them to Robert until eventually we had enough,” explained the star.
