Natalie Imbruglia has dropped a final teaser for her upcoming album ‘Algorithm‘ – the record’s closing track ‘Beautiful Love’.
The soaring, synth-led anthem is a dancefloor-friendly tribute to the power of self-love that sees Imbruglia lay bare her emotions, accept her flaws and celebrate her ability to overcome.
The song was co-written by Imbruglia, legendary producer Fraser T Smith, and Snow Patrol’s Gary Lightbody.
‘I’m seeing everything clear / I want you here beside me, dear / Beautiful, beautiful love / I didn’t think you’d be enough / But out of the wreckage, you climbed / Then you showed up just in time,’ she sings.
Much like the visual for previous single ‘Just Drive‘, the video for ‘Beautiful Love’ was shot on the Australian-British star’s iPhone.

Also featuring collaborations with MyRiot, David Sneddon, Anu Pillai, Tobie Tripp, Mark Crew and Dan Priddy, Imbruglia says of ‘Algorithm’: “I chose to work with collaborators who also co-produce so from start to finish we were all so invested in every song.
“I really hope that people get as much joy from listening to this record as we did making it. And that they dance their arses off.”
Touching on the personal circumstances that inspired the music, she adds: “This was by far the most fun I’ve ever had making a record.
“It also happened to coincide with the most challenging time I’ve had with my mental health. This is the beauty of music and artistic expression. You can take something dark and turn it into light.”
‘Algorithm’ is released on September 4 and available to pre-order from Amazon, HMV, Rough Trade, Townsend and more.
