Paloma Faith is considering quitting music.
The singer-songwriter recently returned to the charts with her sixth studio album, ‘The Glorification Of Sadness’, but speaking on Jamie Laing’s ‘Great Company‘ podcast she admitted her recording days may be numbered.
“My mum’s always telling me I need to train to be a teacher,” Paloma shared. “She’s like, ‘You’ve had kids, you’ve done the pop star thing. Go and do PGCE [teacher training] because then you can have the same holidays as your kids’. I’m considering it. I just might put one more record out.”
In the past, the idea of branching out may have intimidated artists signed to major record labels, but the Can’t Rely On You hitmaker insisted she isn’t fazed by the idea of going it alone.
“Every time I get towards putting an album out, I think, ‘This is the end’,” she added. “But now everyone’s independent, so it’s quite cool if you get dropped.”
