Synthwave star NINA is back with brand new single Carnival Night.
The track, produced by Radio Wolf, is the first to be lifted from the singer’s forthcoming third studio album, following last year’s ‘Synthian’.
Of her new tune, she says: “Carnival Night is a song about running wild and surrendering to magic and desire.
“It’s a special song for me because it’s my first release as an independent artist.”
“Coming up with the theme and creating this track was the perfect way to emotionally escape the confines of the pandemic; we wanted to create a world and get lost in it,” she adds, according to Wonderland, which premiered the single.
NINA has been working with producer Ricky Wilde – brother of ‘80s icon Kim Wilde – on her new music, and he recently told Retro Pop the pair are “about four or five tracks in” on the new LP.
“I adore her. She’s amazing,” he beamed. “She’s tough, she’s really driven, focused… But she’s a lovely kid. She’s very open hearted. She’s got a good soul.”
Of their working relationship, NINA told us: “I honestly love working with Ricky, he’s so incredibly gentle and humble and he’s become a great friend of mine.”
