Nicki French has released a cover of Donna Summer’s Last Dance as her latest single.
The single was originally recorded for the soundtrack album to the 1978 film ‘Thank God It’s Friday’ and remains a disco classic, hitting the Top 3 in the US.
It went on to win the Academy Award and Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song, along with the Grammy Award for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance.
Now, dancefloor icon Nicki has recorded her own dazzling take on the song, dropping next month on March 7
Announcing the single, Nicki admitted she’s “wanted to record her own interpretation of this song for many years”.
Last Dance is expected to appear on Nicki’s forthcoming studio album, alongside 2020 single Haunted Heart.
It’s the singer’s first studio album since 2018 release ‘Glitter to the Neon Lights’.
