It’s a week of remixes, led by the fabulous, retro-inspired Initial Talk mix of Kylie Minogue and Dua Lipa’s Real Groove. There’s also a LeAnn Rimes x Dave Audé reunion and a rare Fleetwood Mac live cut from the vaults…
Fleetwood Mac – Gold Dust Woman (Live at The Forum, Inglewood, CA 8/29/77)
Label: Warner
Fleetwood Mac’s classic ‘Live’ album is set to be reissued in May, with the collection featuring a second collection of live recordings from 1975-1982.
This new version of ‘Rumours’ classic Gold Dust Woman comes from the album’s accompanying tour and – clocking in at over seven minutes – is among the earliest performances of Stevie Nicks’ iconic track.
It’s release comes following Mick Fleetwood’s confirmation that the group will in fact hit the road once more for a farewell tour, with the drummer not opposed to Lindsey Buckingham rejoining the fold.
Kylie Minogue + Dua Lipa – Real Groove (Studio 2054 Initial Talk Remix)
Label: BMG
Kylie Minogue is continuing her ‘DISCO‘ campaign with the brilliant Initial Talk remix of latest single Real Groove (Studio 2054 Remix).
The track, featuring Dua Lipa, was debuted on the New Rules hitmaker’s Studio 2054 live stream gig late last year, leading to the pair releasing a brand new edit of the single.
It comes as Kylie’s label teases the ‘DISCO’ campaign will run through the next 12 months
with a series of “remixes, features and collaborations”.
LeAnn Rimes – Throw My Arms Around The World (Dave Audé Remix)
LeAnn Rimes has once again teamed up with DJ Dave Audé for a dance floor ready remix of her recent single Throw My Arms Around The World.
Originally released in 2020, Dave’s production cements the track firmly in club territory, overriding the original guitar and drums with electronic beats.
It’s not the pair’s first collaboration – they teamed up last year for a series of remixes of LeAnn’s iconic ‘Coyote Ugly’ singles in honour of their 20th anniversary.
