Nadine Coyle thrilled fans over the weekend with a solo performance on BBC’s ‘I Can See Your Voice’.

The singer appeared as a guest on the programme, hosted by Paddy McGuinness, who is joined by Celebrity Investigators Jimmy Carr, Alison Hammond and Amanda Holden. 

During her stint, the Insatiable star took the stage for a performance of The pretenders’ I’ll Stand By You – which Girls Aloud famously covered back in 2004.

After belting out the track, fans took to Twitter to demand more from Nadine, who released her first and only solo album, ‘Insatiable’, back in 2010.

“@NadineCoyleNow is a queen and her voice is absolute KILLER. I can’t wait for new music,” wrote one user, while another added: “@NadineCoyleNow you were amazing on #icanseeyourvoice so excited for the new music you got planned.”

Others reached out to ask the star about plans to release new tracks, with one devout follower insisting: “Queen we NEED new music.”

Nadine, who released her last single All That I Know in 2020, has yet to confirm plans to drop new tracks.

And while The Promise star’s stint on the show was a triumph, it also sparked controversy as funnyman Jimmy Carr couldn’t help but make a dig at Nadine’s bandmate Cheryl.

He said: “I’m alright, I mean I’m a little bit disappointed that Nadine is here if I’m honest. I thought if we wanted someone who knows about lip-syncing we should have got Cheryl…”

A stunned Nadine retorted, “We’ve only just started the show,” as Jimmy laughed: “Well I start as I mean to go on… she’ll be alright!”

After the episode aired, Call the Shots star Nadine took to Twitter to comment on her appearance – including her exaggerated facial expressions, which seemed to leave several fans bemused.

Alongside a grid of four screenshots of the star’s animated expressions, one fan penned: “Nadine Coyle @NadineCoyleNow needs to be on #icanseeyourvoice EVERY week, just say’n.”

Sharing the tweet, she replied: “Why am I so much with the facials?”
