Mutya Buena has called for justice for MKS’ 2013 single Flatline.
The track saw the singer reunite with her former Sugababes bandmates Keisha Buchanan and Siobhan Donaghy for the first time since 2001.
Although it was released under the alternate moniker, loyal fans were thrilled by the band’s comeback, but it stalled at No. 50 in the charts amid confusion surrounding the name.
While introducing the tune on her ‘Mutya Buena: My Career in Music’ show on Trace Vault, she shared: “We made a comeback in 13, which most people didn’t actually quite get. So I wanted to definitely play this song because I feel like we need justice for Flatline.
“I love this song and I enjoyed recording this music video in LA with the girls,” added the star. “It was on a hot day, hot beach… Everyone was just so sexy!
“We had fun doing this and I hope you enjoy it too.”
The group has since reclaimed the rights to the Sugababes name and will reissue their debut album ‘One Touch later this year with an epic 35 track collection.
It features the original album, additional B-sides and previously unreleased demo tracks, and remixes from Blood Orange, Ed Case and more.
