Minute Taker channels his biggest ‘80s influences on new album ‘Wolf Hours’.
Arriving eight years after his last full album, the LP features 11 original songs, written and produced by the Manchester-based musician.
It marks a shift in sound from Minute Taker’s trademark ethereal electronica to bold, melodic synth-pop, inspired by Pet Shop Boys, Cyndi Lauper, Bonnie Tyler, a-ha and early Madonna.
He says: “I wanted the album to kind of feel like the sonic equivalent of going through a box of
old stuff you find in the loft; full of the comfort and mystique of childhood nostalgia, but a bit warped and degraded over time”.
Among the tracks are two collaborations – Mirror with Megan McDuffee and After The Rain with Bright Light Bright Light.
‘Minute Taker’ has released two albums and a mini-album and provided official remixes for Yazoo and Erasure.
