Rising synth-pop star Minute Taker has enlisted Bright Light Bright Light for his latest single After The Rain.
The singer-songwriter, real name Ben McGarvey, returns with the track ahead of his forthcoming third studio album ‘Wolf Hours’, due later this year.
After The Rain is “about the journey of the LGBTQ+ community over time, combining passions brightly to overcome prejudice and adversity.”
“On the one hand, it’s about the ups and downs of a really tempestuous relationship: the kind that can be like ecstasy and pure magic at times and at other times, tearing each other apart,” he says.
“On a different level, it’s about the journey of the LGBTQ+ community over recent history, ‘fearless cosmic angels, burning bright’ in the face of prejudice, weathering whatever adversity comes our way.”
In addition to his own ‘80s-influenced work, Minute Taker has made a name for himself off the back of remixes for classic acts like Yazoo and Erasure.
