Miley Cyrus has launched her upcoming eighth album ‘Endless Summer Vacation’ with its empowering lead single Flowers.

The track is the first to be lifted from the singer’s forthcoming project, which is described as her “love letter to LA”.

Although she’s yet to confirm who the track is about, fans have speculated its lyrics reflect on her breakup with Liam Hemsworth, who she married in December 2018 and split with the following August.

In addition to it being released on his 33rd birthday, it also appears to reference their house that burnt down in the 2018 Woolsey Fire in California.

‘We were good, we were gold / Kind of dream that can’t be sold / We were right ’til we weren’t / Built a home and watched it burn,’ she sings.

According to a press release about the album, ‘Endless Summer Vacation’ is described as a “very personal” LP that sees Miley at her “strongest and most confident,” reflecting “the strength she’s found in focusing on both her physical and mental well-being”.

‘Endless Summer Vacation’ is out March 10 and available to pre-order now.
