Melanie C leads the line up of big-name stars performing as part of the virtual Blackpool Illuminations Switch-On concert.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the annual event is going virtual, with stars including the Spice Girls favourite leading the entertainment ahead of the switch-on.
Melanie will be performing tracks from her forthcoming self-titled album, featuring hits Who I Am, Blame It On Me, and new single In And Out Of Love.
She’ll be joined by stars including Fleur East, Becky Hill, Tom Grennan, and dance troupe Diversity for the hour-long event on September 4th.
The virtual show will start at 8.30 pm UK time and be hosted by Diversity’s Ashley and Jordan Banjo. It will also feature chart-topping DJ, Joel Corry.
The 2020 event will be the first time in more than 70 years that the resort has been unable to hold a live switch-on. However, the online show will introduce the spectacle to a new, international audience for the first time.
Blackpool’s Illumination season has been extended by two months this year, and will now run until January 3, 2021.
