Melanie C is looking to bring a little zig-a-zig-ah to ‘The Voice Kids’, as she signs on to serve as a coach on the forthcoming season of the ITV show.
The Spice Girls star will take her place on one of the programme’s famous red swivel chairs alongside will.i.am, Danny Jones and Pixie Lott, serving as a replacement for outgoing mentor Paloma Faith.
The Who I Am star says of her latest gig: “I’ve always been a huge fan of The Voice so I am super excited to be a coach on ‘The Voice Kids’ this year.
“I can’t wait to get in one of those big red chairs and Spice things up.”
Meanwhile, McFly star Danny admitted he was over-the-moon about Mel joining them.
“I’m chuffed to have Melanie joining the gang,” he enthused.
“Every year when I think the talent can’t be topped I find myself blown away by the new up and coming kids.
“I’m looking forward to discovering some brand new little superstars, it’s also a mission of mine to catch up with Pixie’s winning streak.”
Melanie’s latest single, Into You, was a Deluxe Edition bonus track on the singer’s latest album, ‘Melanie C’, and dropped back in December.

It follows Who I Am, Blame It on Me, In and Out of Love, Fearless and Overload as previous releases from the LP.
In our review of ‘Melanie C’, Retro Pop called the album “without a doubt her most confident, polished, and exciting release to date”.
