Mel C has teased an unlikely collaboration with grime star Nadia Rose on her new album.
The Spice Girls star has been finishing her eighth studio album during lockdown, and she told The Sun she’s been veering away from her usual pop style on the record.
Speaking about the surprise collaboration, she said: “I was lucky enough to meet a female MC and grime artist here in the UK called Nadia and she is pure girl power.
“I was so excited. I approached her about working together and she was really up for it. She was a big fan.”
According to Mel, the pair created something “really special” in the studio, as she gushed: “I’m very excited for people to hear that.”
Mel recently released the second single, Blame It On Me, from the album, and she told Brooke Reese on Apple Music she “wanted to make something really danceable, but really thoughtful as well”.
“I want it to be really empowering and thoughtful, but just party time as well.”
