McFly are working on new music with plans to release their eighth studio album next year.
Three years since the group released their previous LP, 2023’s ‘Power to Play‘, frontman Tom Fletcher has revealed the boys have been back in the studio crafting some of their “best” material.
He tells The Sun’s Bizarre column: “We have been busy recording the album.
“Harry [Judd] has done his drums and the rest of us will be in the studio for the rest of this year. We’re very excited.
“It’s classic McFly – it’s us at our best. Hopefully once the album is done, we can go on tour.”
Speaking to the publication, Judd says the band – also starring Danny Jones and Dougie Poynter – will be back in the spotlight in 2027, confirming: “You’ll see more from McFly next year.”
In a review of ‘Power to Play‘, RETROPOP commented that the “bold collection of all-out guitar tunes” sees McFly “turn up the volume and let loose on what’s undoubtedly their most authentic album yet”.
