Matchbox Twenty are back with their fifth studio album ‘Where The Light Goes’ due this spring.
It’s been a decade since the band released their last record, the US No. 1 ‘North’, but the multi-platinum selling group are back with an all-new 12-track collection.
Frontman Rob Thomas says: “We were supposed to get back together a few years before we did. We’re weren’t going to make a record, we were just going to tour but after the delays it felt like putting an album together was the right thing to do.”
The album is written exclusively by frontman Rob Thomas with Gregg Wattenberg, Paul Doucette and Kyle Cook on production. It marks the band’s first album not to be helmed by longtime producer Matt Serletic.
Ahead of its release, the group have shared the lead single Wild Dogs (Running In A Slow Dream), while a run of US shows is already underway and dates for Australia, New Zealand and the UK are expected to be announced soon.
