Mary J. Blige has no plans to take part in Swizz Beatz and Timbaland’s virtual ‘Verzuz’ vocal battle series.
The online shows have seen stars including Alicia Keys, Brandy and Monica face-off against one another, with recent speculation suggesting Mary could be next to appear alongside fellow ‘90s R&B icon Toni Braxton.
But in an interview with ‘The Breakfast Club’ on Power FM, she insisted that’s not the case.

“I don’t know what a ‘Verzuz’ would do for me,” she insisted. “Right now it’s not something that’s on the top of my list.”
Following the online talk – which included a mock-up poster appearing to confirm the stars’ appearance – the official ‘Verzuz’ Twitter page stepped in to shut down the rumours.
“Us having to tell people that the Mary J. Blige vs Toni Braxton VERZUZ isn’t real,” they penned.
It comes after He Wasn’t Man Enough star Toni previously revealed she’d only take part if she was pitted against one of the “girls from the ‘90s”.
“It would have to be me, Mariah [Carey] or Mary J. [Blige] or something,” she said.
Mary and Toni are both set to appear on the debut studio album from iconic production duo Jam & Lewis, due July 9. The single Somewhat Loved (There You Go Breakin’ My Heart) featuring Mariah Carey is out now.
