R&B icon Mary J. Blige is back with her brand new album ‘Gratitude’, due November 15.
Arriving shortly after the star’s induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on October 19, the LP is, according to Blige, a reflection of her life today.
“I have a new album coming in November. Nov. 15 it’s called Gratitude because that’s where I am,” she said during an appearance on US TV show ‘Sherri’. “Look at my life right now, I’m in a constant state of gratitude. I feel good, I have jobs and opportunities, I’m healthy, my family’s healthy, I got people around that care and love me and I have amazing fans.”
Following the release, the the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul is set to embark on the ‘For My Fans Tour’, which will include support from R&B superstars Ne-Yo and Mario.
“When it’s all said and done, it’s never all said and done, I owe my fans a gratitude I can’t put into words, so I put it into a show. The For My Fans Tour coming soon, see you there,” she wrote in a post on Instagram.
On the show, Blige revealed that the North American trek will kick off in January, adding: “If you are a Mary J. Blige fan, this is for you. Thank you.”
Although specific dates and venues have yet to be announce, Blige will play in Atlanta, Boston, Buffalo, Chicago, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, Newark, Tampa Bay, Toronto, Washington, D.C. and more.
