Rihanna has released Lift Me Up – her first new solo music six years.

The superstar’s latest release is lifted from the soundtrack to ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ and was teased on social media by Marvel Studios, who shared a clip on their channels on Wednesday.

Rihanna ‘has new music and huge stadium shows planned for 2026’

Rihanna continues to tease new album: ‘It has to count. It has to matter.’

In the visual for the movie, the film’s title card comes into view before the first ‘R’ in ‘Forever’ becomes the focus and the remaining letters fade away.

Rihanna later confirmed the release on her own pages, with the ballad – a tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman – available digitally now.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Rihanna had recorded two songs for the ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ soundtrack, one of which is believed to play over the film’s end credits.

Multiple sources have supported that the Diamonds singer will be central to Friday’s release, with the hitmaker herself sharing the ‘R’ icon on her social media pages.

Rihanna released her most recent album, ‘Anti’, in 2016, and has long been teasing fans about a new project.

It comes following the news that Rihanna will headline the Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show in February 2023, with executives from the NFL, Roc Nation, and Apple Music sharing the announcement in a statement.

“Rihanna is a generational talent, a woman of humble beginnings who has surpassed expectations at every turn,” said JAY-Z. “A person born on the small island of Barbados who became one of the most prominent artists ever. Self-made in business and entertainment.”

NFL Head of Music, Seth Dudowsky, added: “We are thrilled to welcome Rihanna to the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show stage. Rihanna is a once-in-a-generation artist who has been a cultural force throughout her career.

“We look forward to collaborating with Rihanna, Roc Nation and Apple Music to bring fans another historic Halftime Show performance.”
