Marti Pellow will release his new book, ‘The Lost Chapter’, alongside a mini-album of the same name, later this year.
The former Wet Wet Wet frontman announced the project as he returned to social media after axing a run of tour dates due to illness.
Hi everyone, I’d like to say a huge thank you for the incredible outpouring of well wishes and support during my time of illness. Your love and encouragement meant the world to me. 🧵https://t.co/bJnDcaTWZq

“During my recovery, I had the opportunity to reflect, create, and delve into the depths of my musical journey,” he wrote. “I am thrilled to announce the upcoming release of my new book, ‘The Lost Chapter’.
“This special edition book is limited to just 2000 copies and holds a collection of stories, memories, and reflections that have shaped my life and career.”
The Love Is All Around singer added: “But that’s not all! As a heartfelt thank you for your unwavering support, each signed copy of ‘The Lost Chapter’ will come with a special 10-inch mini album. This album features a selection of my favourite songs that I have written throughout my musical journey.
“It’s a personal gift from me to you, a way to express my gratitude through the power of music.”
Alongside the post, Marti also shared an announcement video featuring his new song, A Last Time For Everything.
‘The Lost Chapter’ is out September and available to pre-order now.
The singer recently announced his 2024 ‘Popped In Souled Out’ run of shows, celebrating Wet Wet Wet’s debut album of the same name, which is set to hit venues next spring.
“I decided if I was going to do it, it had to be something special, so I agreed to do a one-off at the London Palladium, an iconic venue,” Marti explained. “I thought it would be a great thing to do, as much for myself as for the fans.
“It was the fastest-selling ticket of my career. Then the fanbase came up from Scotland and said ‘If you don’t do this in Scotland, then don’t bother coming back.’ And that was just from family. So I put that on sale in Scotland, and once again it was the fastest-selling show of my career – it sold out the same morning.
“Then people demanded more shows. It’s such an exciting project for me. I’ve found it inspirational.”
He added: “‘Popped In Souled Out’ was my first successful record, it was my debut album, and it took me around the world. It facilitated all those dreams I had. It was the catalyst for everything.”
According to a press release, the tour will see Marti bring a truly unique experience for audiences, playing alongside the Love To Love orchestra and featuring hit singles such as Wishing I Was Lucky, Sweet Little Mystery, Angel Eyes and Temptation.
Tickets for the shows are on sale now.
