Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas Is You has smashed Spotify records.
The holiday classic set a Spotify record for the most plays in a single day with a huge 21.273 million listens in 24 hours this month.
In achieving the feat, the diva broke the record held by Adele’s Easy On Me, which notched up 19.747 million streams in one day in 2021.
Earlier in December, Mariah returned to the No. 1 spot on the UK charts, while she recently racked up a record 90th week atop the US Billboard Hot 100 with the track.
Reacting to the news, she penned: “I can’t even handle this news.. I’m jumping up and down in the snow..!
“Meanwhile Cha Cha is swimming around and Mutley is howling like a kid running around in circles feeling our energy.”
