Marcella Detroit is back with her latest solo single Alien 2 Me.
The Shakespear’s Sister star returned last month with Vicious, the lead track from her forthcoming LP ‘Gold’, and the new single follows on from the dance-inspired tune.
Alien 2 Me has been remixed by 7th Heaven and is available as a ‘Radio Edit’, along with the full length ‘Club Mix’.
In an email newsletter, the singer revealed her new album, which celebrates her 50 years in the music industry.
She said: “This year, I celebrate my 50 years in the music business! I’ve been sharing my major achievements over Facebook and Instagram in a 50 day countdown to my birthday which was just this past Monday June 21st.
“I’ll be putting out more singles over the summer and a new album come September, entitled ‘Gold’.”
Earlier this year, Marcella released the digital-only album ‘Made In Detroit’ online, including previously-unreleased recordings and tracks that had been performed live in the past, along with a star-studded charity cover of Robbie Williams’ Angels.
It follows her previous solo effort, 2015’s ‘Gray Matterz’, and Shakespear’s Sisters’ 2019 ‘Ride Again’ EP, featuring the singles All The Queen’s Horses and When She Finds You.
