Madonna has shared her support for citizens in Ukraine with a video set to her 2005 single Sorry.
Last week, the country severed diplomatic ties with Russia and declared martial law after its President Vladimir Putin ordered an attack on the neighbouring nation.
As the world reacted to the conflict, the Queen of Pop took to social media to weigh in on the situation, aligning herself with Ukraine.
“Russia’s Pointless and Greed Driven Invasion Of the Ukraine MUST be stopped!!” she penned in the post.
“Please Send in Humanitarian Aid to help millions of citizens of the Ukraine who’s lives are being affected by this CRISIS at this very moment!!”
Madonna added: “Putin has Violated Every Human Rights Accord in Existence. Putin has no right to try to erase the existence of the Ukraine.
“We support you President Zelensky!! We are praying for you and your country!”
She concluded: “God Bless You All! Lets not feel helpless when confronted by Geo-political Actions of this magnitude. There are things we can do.”
In addition to her initial post, Madonna also shared a Global Citizen article on ‘9 Meaningful Ways You Can Help Ukraine’ in her Instagram bio.
