Madonna marked the anniversary of the 2015 Paris terror attacks during her performance in the city on Monday night (November 13).
The Queen Of Pop took to the stage for the latest show in her ‘Celebration World Tour’ and reflected on her previous trip to the French capital, weeks after the incident took place.
“This is a tragic event, and I remember singing with David in Place de la République, the last time I was here with the ‘Rebel Heart’ tour – what little I could do to acknowledge this tragedy,” she told the crowd.
“But these tragedies keep happening, it never ends. And you can ask yourself sometimes, when will it end, and what can we do as human beings to change it?”
During that visit, Madonna and her son joined mourners at Place de la République and led the crowd with an acoustic cover of John Lennon’s Imagine.
During Monday’s concert, she urged audience members to shine lights on their phones and sing along to a rendition of Gloria Gaynor’s I Will Survive.
