Madonna sent fans on Instagram into meltdown when she snapped at a woman named Karen for suggesting the star has no right to talk about gun control.

The God Control singer took to her profile on Monday (April 13) to condemn the rise in gun violence in America, following the shooting death of 20-year-old Daunte Wright at the hands of police officers in Minnesota.

Her words prompted Karen to dive into the comments section and take aim at Madonna, suggesting the American Life star didn’t know what she was talking about.

“I would bet you have people with guns to protect you and your family,” Karen wrote, “but the little people can be left unarmed.

“If you take the guns away criminals will ALWAYS find weapons. The rest of us innocent people will be victims. You live behind high walls with protection. You do not live in the real world. Criminals do not fear police, judges, or jail. But if we are a armed society they would fear the victims [sic].”

Clearly enraged by the post, Madonna responded: “B**ch I don’t have any security or armed guards around me.

“Come see me and tell me to my face how not real my world is. I dare you. You know nothing about me or my life. The only criminals I see right now are the police who are paid to protect the people.

“But police are protected by judges and the criminal justice system which is a joke because there is no justice if you are a person of color.”

She added: “Of course your name is Karen.”

Madonna was recently finalising work on the final reshoots for her forthcoming Madame X Tour concert film and documentary special. She supported her 2019 album with an impressive 75-date theatre jaunt, with stops across the US, mainland Europe and the UK through 2019/2020.

After wrapping the trek last March following eight shows in Paris, the I Rise singer was forced to take some necessary downtime, which included a number of surgeries following an ongoing knee complaint.

While details of the documentary have yet to be confirmed, according to reports Madonna’s taking the show to streaming giant Netflix.

In a recent Instagram post, LA-based production boutique VANDAL – which represents directing duo Sasha Kasiuha and VMA Award winner Nuno Xico – revealed the project in a since-deleted post.

Previewing upcoming “music-driven content”, they wrote: “First up is the Netflix documentary chronicling Madonna’s Madame X Tour.

“Coming from the world of film editorial and visual effects, respectively, Nuno and Sasha juxtapose traditional cinematic art form with cutting edge technologies and other mixed media, [to] create not just a story, but a sensation.”

Madonna previously teased on social media that she’s putting the finishing touches to the footage for release.
