Madonna marked 39 years since the release of her classic hit single Borderline with the release of a digital single and remastered music video.
Originally featured on her self-titled debut album – from which it was released as the fifth and final single from the LP – the track was a global Top 10 hit, peaking at No. 2 in the UK.
Marking its latest milestone, the Queen of Pop issued a digital single set, featuring the album version and along with a pair of remixes.
Also available is an upscaled music video for the 1984 hit, which is now available in HD.
Later this year, Madonna will embark on her 40th anniversary ‘Celebration Tour’ which, according to a press release, will take us on her artistic journey through four decades and pays respect to the city of New York where her career in music began.
“I am excited to explore as many songs as possible in hopes to give my fans the show they have been waiting for,” says Madonna.
Bob the Drag Queen a.k.a. Caldwell Tidicue will guest across all dates on the global tour.
Tickets are on general sale now.
