Madonna has released her expanded American Pie maxi-single across digital platforms.
The Queen of Pop released her cover of the Don McLean classic to promote the soundtrack of her 2000 film ‘The Next Best Thing’.
It quickly became a UK No. 1 hit and reached the Top 30 in the US, and now Madonna has shared a bunch of remixes for the single online.
Included on the release is the original version of the track, along with six further mixes from Richard Humpty Vission and Victor Calderone.
The release comes ahead of a monumental year, which will see her begin a career-spanning reissue project, documenting her entire discography.
Meanwhile, Madonna recently revealed she was in the studio with Swae Lee, with whom she collaborated on her 2019 ‘Madame X’ cut Crave, working on new songs.
“So great to be back in the studio making Music again,” Madonna penned. “Suprises [sic] in the New Year.”
Madonna recently released her ‘Madame X’ concert documentary on Paramount+, along with a live album featuring tracks from the performance.
In a review of the record, Retro Pop said ‘Madame X (Music From The Theater Xperience)’ “captures the ‘Madame X’ Tour and reaffirms that she is and remains at the top of her game”.
