Lisa Scott-Lee found herself at the centre of comedian Joe Lycett’s latest prank after he gave the star a photo credit alongside a recent feature for BBC’s Gardeners’ World magazine.
The funnyman spoke to the publication’s May issue and, when it came the photograph of himself included in the feature, he jokingly offered up the Steps star’s name to the magazine.
Explaining the unexpected mention in an Instagram post, Joe shared his snap from the piece and penned: “I did an interview for May’s edition of @gardenersworldmag and they asked for a photo of me in my garden.
“I didn’t have one so I took this on a timer on my camera and they said ‘that’s great who took it’ and for a laugh I said it was Lisa Scott Lee from Steps and they’ve printed her a photo credit in the magazine.”
The picture in question shows Joe sat out his garden steps – though naturally, Lisa, who lives in Dubai, is nowhere to be seen.
However, she seemed thrilled by the mention, writing in the comments: “Thanks for the credit @joelycett.”
Despite being on the other side of the world, Lisa is keeping busy with Steps, who recently announced a September 10 release date for their new album ‘What The Future Holds Pt. 2’.
Featuring ten all-new tracks plus current single Heartbreak in this City featuring Michelle Visage, Part Two also includes acoustic takes of previous singles and a bunch of remixes.
The announcement of new music comes months after Steps returned in November with their sixth LP, ‘What The Future Holds’, spawning the singles What The Future Holds, Something in Your Eyes and To The Beat of My Heart.
In our review of the album, Retro Pop called ‘What The Future Holds’ “a cohesive collection that plays to each of the members’ strengths and showcases the versatility of Steps as Britain’s premier pop group… undoubtedly their most confident, polished release yet.”
‘What The Future Holds Pt. 2’ is due for release September 10 and available to pre-order on CD, LP and Cassette.
