Lindsey Buckingham returns with ‘On the Wrong Side’, the second track released from his forthcoming self-titled album.
The former Fleetwood Mac frontman is set to drop his first collection in a decade, featuring lead track I Don’t Mind, on September 17, and the latest cut evokes the classic pop-rock sound that propelled his group to stardom.
On the Wrong Side is about the peaks and valleys of life on the road with the Dreams group, with poignant lyrics like, ‘We were young, now we’re old / Who can tell me which is worse?’
Buckingham compares the track with his 1977 hit Go Your Own Way, explaining it’s “not a happy song, subject-matter wise, but it was an ebullient song musically. This was sort of the same idea.”
Written, produced and recorded by Buckingham at his home studio in Los Angeles, CA, the LP is Lindsey’s first since departing Fleetwood Mac in 2018.
In addition to the new music, Lindsey is set to hit the road for a string of US Tour dates through September and December 2021.
‘Lindsey Buckingham’ is available to pre-order on CD and Vinyl.
