Leona Lewis is working on her first album in more than five years.
The singer’s last full-length project, ‘I Am’, came out in 2015, and she’s been back in the studio working on its follow-up.
Following the release of her repackaged holiday album, ‘Christmas, With Love Always’, she tells the Daily Star: “I want to put music out again. I am working on exciting stuff that I want to share. There’s no timeline.”
While she didn’t reveal any further details about the direction of the project, Leona admits she’s a big fan of fellow Brit sensation Adele.
“I admire artists who live life so you can draw from it,” she beams. “Adele is the master of doing that. I respect artists who go deep in their life situations and are brave enough to share that, because it’s hard to share your problems and pain.”
Leona’s updated holiday album includes the original 10-track release plus new cuts Kiss Me It’s Christmas with Ne-Yo and a cover of Bee Gees’ If I Can’t Have You.
In a review of the album, Retro Pop called ‘Christmas, With Love Always‘ “a timeless holiday staple, with modern classic One More Sleep the jewel in Leona’s festive crown.”
