Lady Gaga is reportedly set to drop the lead single from her forthcoming seventh studio album this week.
Weeks after releasing her ‘Harlequin’ soundtrack to ‘Joker: Folie à Deux’, the Bad Romance hitmaker looks to be launching straight into her next era.
According to a midweek update from OfficialCharts, the soundtrack is set to peak in the Top 5 of the UK Albums Chart “in the same week the lead single from her next full-length album is set to drop”.
Gaga recently opened up about her new record, teasing: “The pop album is nothing like ‘Chromatica’. It’s a completely different record. I don’t know that I’m even ready to talk about it yet, but it’s coming out soon, and I will.
“What I would say is, it’s all for me. It’s meant to be ingested as a time in my life. And I’m also really excited about this idea that I don’t have to adhere to an era if I don’t want to. I can have a few going at once.
“That feels unhinged and more like me or Harley. Or whoever.”
Earlier this year, Gaga hinted towards her seventh studio album while celebrating her 38th birthday, writing in a post on Instagram: “I feel like my heart is bursting for my own health and MUSIC. I am writing some of my best music.
“I’ve been writing pop songs since I was a little girl [and] I can’t believe I still get to do what I love. This year will be an important and meaningful year for us I know.
“Music changes people lives im so honored I get to be a part of that in this life. [sic],” the Born This Way singer added.
