Lady Gaga has revealed she’s still hoping to deliver a sequel to her 2009 hit Telephone.
Lifted from ‘The Fame Monster’ (2009) – an expanded version of her debut album, ‘The Fame’ (2008) – the star’s collaboration with Beyoncé was accompanied by a music video featuring both artists, which ended with the words “to be continued…”
Now, 16 years later, a sequel has yet to be released, but in a new video promoting her forthcoming album, ‘Mayhem‘, Gaga insisted it could still happen.
When asked by Variety for a lie detector test if Telephone “will ever be continued”, she cautiously answered “yes”, before insisting that she doesn’t know when a follow-up will happen.
Touching on Beyoncé’s involvement in the project, Gaga said “maybe”, but insisted “no” when asked if the sequel’s delay is due to scheduling conflicts with the Texas Hold ‘Em hitmaker.
