Brits have voted Kylie Minogue’s 2019 Glastonbury set as one of their all-time favourite festival moments.
In a poll conducted for Virgin Media’s V Festival, the majority of respondents named Queen’s Live Aid gig in 1985 as their No. 1 moment, with Freddie Mercury’s rousing performance attracting 27 per cent of the vote.
Runner-up was David Bowie’s headline slot at Glastonbury in 2000, while Kylie Minogue’s performance – 14 years after she pulled out due to breast cancer – came third.
During the show, which was part of the star’s summer tour, she performed classic hits and more recent numbers from her 2018 album Golden. Its follow-up, DISCO, is due for release in November.
U2’s Live Aid set and Adele’s headline show at Glastonbury in 2016 rounded out the top five.
